"Biker Build Off" Finished bike at midnight.

Have worked everyday since sturgis aug 5th except for a few days at Pleasenton show which is really as much work. been a long month and a half.

We built a bike in 10 days, I worked all day and night to pull it off, Thomas from Norway by my side the whole time (couldnt have done it without his help and patentence) other help was from poor to fair.

Im very pleased with bike, it is a slick lil softail.

I think we made as many parts as anyone on show has in 30 day builds shown so far on TV , we built 5 times the stuff billy lane or Indian Larry did in 30 days.

Only problem I see is its a little too slick, looks like it rolled off a harley design studio's stand. its not very wacky and dosent have any car or house parts stuck on it.

was the biggest challenge I have or ever wanted to pull off. it was War, we all took some lead but carried off the injured and mission accomplished.

we made to many parts and some twice to please ourselves.

show airs in january, cant show anyone till then or we forfiet the contest to be held at Biketoberfest in San Diego oct1-3

Where are you going to show the bike? The Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally is coming up at the end of the month in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Discovery is suposed to be there.

Congrats man, Susan said you were like worker bees! Cant wait to see it. I fear your vision is just too much for most "bikers" judging by the way they looked at teh Blue bike when we got to the Corbin booth.

It can't be an easy thing to work yourself to death for a month and a half straight losing sleep day after day. One of my best buds had Discovery leave his shop 1AM Tuesday after running his Biker Build Off bike up and down the street. 10 days of filming, endless gallons of coffee, and finally the guy can sleep. They made the frame, fender, tank, battery box, everything but the tires, wheels and motor on film. That bike is bad ass, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

2. Knowing who you are up against, I think you'll lose. Your bike will be better, slicker, and better but it won't be some over the top atrocity that the OCC masses will love.

I dont think we should count Cole out yet Tony! Hank can build nice bikes and has a little more "fame" but craftsmanship ans simplicity are Coles strong suit.

About right, I watched 'World Biker Build off....and the 'thing' that won was nasty....Much as I love the look af Russel Mitchells bike (fellow Brit) I thought the fabrication & design of the Aussie bike was worthy of winning.

I don't think you got what I was saying. I'll try again:

The majority of the American public has watched too much Orange County Chompers and can't appreciate anything that isn't a "theme" bike. Cole's bike will be too smooth (or slick, as he said) for most and they'll vote for Hank's because of its over-the-topness.

I'm not discrediting Hank. He's a hell of a talented fabricator. His stuff just appears gaudy as all get out to me. Just my two cents though.
