Hey Rocketeers...early rocket head id help... please

Do any of you olds rocket motor guys now how the cast in numbers on the heads go with what year motors? The numbers I refer to here are located above the center exhaust port and are quite large. I am quite sure "10" is 1956. I also have a motor with "2" and "8" and my buddy has one with a "7". I have wondered this for some time now and thought I might find some helpful info here. I can't find my list as to specific years but the 2 is pretty early 303, the 8 an early 324 and the 10 is a 56 324, the best 324 head.

#2 is early 303.
#7 is a 54 head.
#8 is a 55 head.
#10 is a 56 head.

Rocket 88's got it dead-on. The #2 is from somewhere between'51-3, the '49-50 didn't have any numbers like that.
