The guilt over never posting an intro finally got to me, so here goes. I've been messing with cars since I was about 14. My dad was building a '52 Chevy like the one he had in high school, planning to drive it to a class reunion, and I got to help him. It was lowered, had a Buick grille, lake pipes, split manifold on the straight 6, etc. A beautiful car that he still owns almost 30 years later. Soon after he helped me build a '54 Chevy deluxe-cab pickup that I drove to high school. I bought a '71 Chevelle from him in 1982; still own it and recently did a mechanical restoration on it. Dad bought a 1939 Chevy sedan a few years ago and he and I went to some events with it. I got the itch for an older car and bought most of a 1933 Ford pickup from a guy here on the HAMB. I've got a repro '32 chassis and a 364 Nailhead ready for it. I want to build it like the black one Jimmy White did a while back, only with inferior skills and crappy tools. I learned a lot by lurking here, and joined the Alliance a year ago.

Hello from a fellow Kentucky new guy. Inferior skills and crappy tools, I can identify with that.
