Hi,
I'm new to the forum but not to cars. Been at 'em for 45 years now. That makes me old! Not a mechanic, just a hobbyist, who loves cars. I've done four body offs, but nothing worthy of Barrett-Jackson. I was drawn into this web site by the discussion on 60's and '70's street racing in NYC. I remember..... Actually began racing with, of all things, a 1967 Rambler Rebel. 280 horse 343, 4 spd, and 410 rear. I had a great time with that car, both on the street and at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ, back in the '60's. Those were the days...

I did some very amateurish racing of my '64 Rambler American in High school - they were the perfect car to race - nothing to brag about if you beat my little American and some guys could never admit losing to one - it was sort of a win win for me. Only a handful of "rambler" guys here - though.
