I was on the board a while ago but got frustrated waiting for my truck to get delivered. I got fed up and went to get it myself. It is here now and I have begun the teardown process. I have also been working on the mechanical systems.

My "hot rod" will be a Kfz 72 Radio Van. I have made a bloglike page of the build here:

http://716heer.org/html/build_blog.html

I have build pictures here:

The overall project info is here:

I am almost done removing all the extraneous body parts. I need to move the radiator forward and extend the rear rails by 12". Then the new construction begins.

Thanks.

I just posted new pictures tonight. The front end tear down is complete. I will begin reconstructing the front end now.

Did ya keep any of the original tin? Looks like it was a winch model, do ya still have the winch??

All of the original sheet metal has gone to other CCKW owners to help with their restorations. The truck rolled off the assembly line with a winch but it was replaced with a pump when it was converted to a fire truck in '45. The pump went to another fire truck owner.

The only spare things that I have left are the front bumper and brush guard.
