I know some people told me that if I cut the top off of my 53 desoto I will deffinately regret it, but does anyone have pictures of a non-convertible car being made a topless car? maybe with a carson top?

I cut the top off my 48 pick up and wouldn't have it any other way. Just remember when cutting it make the lines flow. The ones that don't look good are the ones that the guy makes a straight cut and fills the gap with a flat peice of steel.

i had a mint 66 caddy 4 door that i could not give away for $1000 i cut the roof off it and made a boot to cover the 1/4 cut never finshed the windshield frame. second day after the roof was off the car sold for $2000 just because the for sale sign was still on the back seat.
just goes to show you converts are much more fun.

I hacked the top off a 62 Buick 4 door hardtop once to use in the local parade. I had the name of my shop painted on the side. A few weeks later a bunch of drink Indians showed up and the oldest drunkest one wanted to buy it. I told them I had no title but they said they were taking it to the res anyway. About a week later my wife came in mad as hell and told me she just saw 9 drunk Indians going down the wrong side of the Interstate with a car that had my shop name painted on the side. I saw more humor in it than she did.

Hell, I say cut it off, I did to my '49 Hudson, and made a truck out of it in the process. This is what gave me the inspiration.

You should leave the top, if it was a 4 door I would say tuck the dollar and get that bitch topless but it is a damn cool looking 2 door.
