For those of you who have been eagerly awaiting Atch's archive of HAMB tech files, they are now ready for your downloading pleasure. They are sorted into folders as Atch sent them to me, and I created a complete zip archive if you just want to get the whole enchilada. The files are in .doc format.

Actually, I got to thinking, this is the perfect thing for all of those guys and girlfriends who are into retro clothes and rockabilly and want to "learn more about cars" so that they have a fully coordinated lifestyle. Let's keep this one at the top of the message board for a while.

Sorry for the cynical outburst- but this great compilation reminds me what i like and don't like about this board.

go to download.com, and search for winzip.... download it, and install. ALL files that can be opened by this software will have an icon representing it. you can then select all or a few of the compressed files and then EXTRACT them to a folder you created or a folder which you explicitly tell it to go to.

make sense? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

thanks a bunch for the post, and thanks to atch for the archives!

manyolcars,

I just checked it out myself, and you should be able to change the zoom on the page. On my version of Word there is a drop down on the tool bar that said 55%. I moved it to 100% and was able to read it fine.

On some web viewers. you will find a small row of boxes on the left lower corner of the viewer window. The very left hand box is for (normal View). that will give your eyesight back without having to remove your glasses and cross your eyes http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

for anyone out there who likes the idea of having this kind of stuff for future reference, i HIGHLY recommend you start keeping your own library by cutting/pasting threads that interest you into a format that you can save and retrieve. since i sent these files to kustm54 last week, i've added three more files in my archives. it's a constantly growing library for me.

anyway, thanx to kustm54 for making these available. i did the easy part. the files i was/am saving for myself anyway. all i did was e-mail them to him. he did the hard part. i don't have a clue as to how you do what he did. probably won't ever know either. doesn't really matter. but kudos to him for doing it.

Thanks Atch and kustm54. I offered the (5 star)rating...(the HAMB "accepted" it) you both deserve it.
I've been hoarding some Tech myself (since just before the last HAMB transmogrification)...lost alotta tech in that.
Much of that, Atch saved too.
If anyone has any suggestions how I could post my stuff for all, I'd like to hear from you. Just now (if it matters), it's all HTML.

SlowLearner,

I don't mind hosting them on my site as well as Atch's archive if you want. I have about 40MB space left, so it's a little limited. Let me know...
