What do I think...?
I THINK I'm fucking JEALOUS!
I understand what you mean about the "weighted" rear-end,
But it really doesn't look that bad at all,
Or maybe we need to see more pics?

Looks like a neat project.
Did the cab and bed come off of an old hot rod/street rod? From the looks of the way the bottom of the bed was extended down, it had rear fenders?
Neal
how much is it chopped? -jeff

The cab is chopped 4' and yes this truck was bulit in the late fifties. It was featured in HOTROD/1961 feb issue. It was full fendered with a 6 jug 354 hemi.It has tons of history (locally)I was gonna restore it to it's orig. hotrod state but then I felt it would not be truly mine.just sold the orig. frame and running gear. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Totally awesome!
That HEMI outa set ya back in the seat.
Not that i know shit, but i kinda agree something about the bed isn't right.
Maybe lower the bed a bit and remove some of the grey panel in front of the wheel and some of the red behind it?
Tho if you like it thats what counts.

Dan like Hemis... GRUNT GRUNT GRUNT
Dan like red chopped pickups
Me want ride!
The pickup looks even cooler than I imagined Jeff, you've definately got an eye for the "look", but I already knew that. I kinda dig the photoshopped bed better, but both look good. Now you have to make a pilgrimage out to the salt with that thing when its done.

I like it as is. The front of the bed is just right, but the back does seem a bit tall for the proportions in my opinion. Maybe whack off a bit like you had envisioned.
-Dane
Compared to some of my favorite proportions on a truck.

Tim Banning is the owner/builder of FHO(For Hemis Only) Most of his clients are stateside. I can honestly say he is one of the most friendly, knowledgable and nobullshit Hemi builders around these parts. He is located just north of Port Hope ONT.
