I'll let the better photographers show all the 3/4 view car pictures
.
I have some that I liked at my My picture albun (http://fototime.com/ftweb/bin/ft.dll/pictures?userid={2DF1D2F1-A0E4-40E6-9484-8B9287279599}&AlbumId={0CC16FF5-2A43-4A6E-84EB-919DDFC28018}&GroupId={9CD40363-E556-4C0F-8AB6-9CB8B9151707})

Charlie Bull (31 roadster) My roadster and Ron Thorpe (32 coupe) attended the Tyrods show Sunday. Charlie and I towed the 1000 mile round trip. Ron (my hero) drove his coupe the whole way.

I'm a detail freak. Maybe some of you are too. Here are some details that turned me on....

This coupe had some very nice details you don't see at every cruise night.

The voltage regulator cover isn't a finned cover (too easy) It may be a repro for the restorer crowd but it fits the stuff I remember on an old hot rod

Looks like a factory intake doesn't it? Check out the gas pedal bell crank to get sideways butterflies to open. (not a Locar cable)

The very different W/shield and new gas cap for the cowl tank.

God I wish I was creative enough to come up with these ideas. All I can do is spot them, photgraph them and try to use them for inspiration for my pieces of shit. I feel so inadiquate. (sp?)

for all you bullet hole decal haters. Just blow a hole in both doors of your finished ride. I don't know why but he got his doors on the HAMB.

I didn't care for all the details I saw. There were at least 3 T's and A's with the optional pusher fan. Must have been a rare accessory.

Tommy, thanks for all the pics. It gives me the chance to see all the stuff I missed when I left early. I love that A on the red deuce frame too. I see that car around alot and notice something new about it every time. Of course the guy who owns it built it all himself and is always changing something.

The gut who owns the coupe with the bullet hole in t he door helped me find my A coupe body. His name is Mike and he's a pretty cool guy. Builds most of his cars in a late 60's style which is a little new for me, but to each his own. Anyway, when he and hhis brother found that car, it had been in a ditch rolled over for years. They figured they would leave a little of the evidence of the years of neglect as a reminder of what they brought that car back from. Me, I would personally have used before and after pictures. But it's a pretty neat car anyway, although I noticed he put some uuuuggglllyy wheels on it recently...

thanks again Tommy. Nice pics.

I love details to. It's sort of a game with me to locate something that everyone else misses on a car. Being a chassis man I'm always down on my knees looking under the cars to see what they are done like underneath...When we get home someone will say "did you see the yellow A pickup?" and I'll ask, "was it the one with the hand fabricated lower shock mount on the Halibrand rear?" http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Yea, details are what make a car.

It takes some balls to blow a hole in your doors after they are finished. I don't think I could do it. I didn't need to look to see if it was a glass car. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I find it amazing how much some of us don't see.

At the L.A. Roadsters show I was on my back studying the underside of the most pristine 32 highboy I'd ever seen, when some guy yells out "Uh Oh we got another one down!"... Everyone turned and looked at this old fart laying on the pavement. I got embarrased and snuck off to the soda stand. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif It was as nice underneath as it was on top. Not mudded up and smoothed like a Ridler car but just as clean.

I also got a pic of the same car with the pusher fan, as a "what not to do." But did anyone get any pics of that Model A Dump truck...you know...that M&M fiasco?

I took a picture of the pinstipping on the hood. It was really cool. That truck had some beautiful work done to it. Not my style but beautiful work.

Cools pics, Having a hard time figuring out the throttle linkage from the pic. I guess I need to study it alittle longer.

Tha dump truck is owned by Al Legrow. He's in his 70's and has been a member of the Long Island Street Rods forever. Super nice guy who has had many cars over the years and still owns a dozen or two, but he's a real down to earth guy. He bought (and I think still owns) Dick Fiele's 27 T roadster with the tube chassis and the flip up body that was on the cover of R & C after it won an award at the Street Rod Nats in Tulsa in '73. Stop by and talk to him next time you see him - like was suggested in that thread the other day. He can probably tell you anything you want to know about the history of hot rodding on Long Island for the past 50 years

That 27 came all the way down to the first Nats East run in Silver spring Md. I always wondered what ever happened to that car. It was a jaw dropper in 1973! I'd love to see that car again now that it's been 30+ years.
