I have a 351W shortblock in my high school shop. I was going to have my students take it apart, measure it, and put it back together. It's a good learning experience for the students who aren't doing a full rebuild on their motor.

But, I discovered today that it is missing all the rod bearings, the front main bearing, and most of the rings are cracked or missing.

So, does anybody out there have any used bearings and rings that they would be willing to donate? I want used parts so the students can see what used bearings look like, and plastiguage something other than a brand new bearing. It's a standard bore/standard crank 351W, not sure of the year.

Thanks.
Jeff

What school do you teach at?

I may know someone that can help, but no promises.

I think I have a set of 351W rods and pistons sitting on the shelf. I'll take a look tonight and see if the bearing and rings are still on them. I'll PM you tonight.

Somebody's gotta help the Bugman out!

Those poor kids will be crushed if they don't get their fair share of bearings and rings.

Somebody? Anybody? All I got is an exhaust manifold bolt for a 302, and that won't go very far.
