One of my long distance buds called last night to tell me my '57 Chevy wagon is in the December PHR. It's not on the newsstands yet and I'm getting itchy to see it! My friend doesn't have a scanner so ... anyone? It's in the Columbus GG coverage. Black primer, straight axle, caption ragging on me for not filling in my registration card. Thanks in advance ... WWS

I subscribe, have for years, but haven't seen this mos. issue. I saw your car in person at GG. Everywhere I looked you were cruising past. I wasn't aware that you were a HAMBr or I would have said HI. It was fun looking at the reaction people had when you drove past. I don't think there were many who "GOT IT", but the ones who did sure had some positive comments.

Thanks for posting the pic Tagman, I'ts exciting to see gassers getting recognition again. I remember talking to you Jim, super cool of you to put the pic in the gazette! Most younger people are just baffled about the wagon but most older guys 'get it'. The young kids all think it has hydraulics & want me to hop for them. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif WWS

Cool car! I saw it in there too. Unfortunately I hate that magazine. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif I bought a 3 yr subscription to "Drag Racing USA", got 2 issues, and they cancelled the mag, so without asking they continued it as a PHR sub. Nice of 'em huh? I could give a shit less about pretty cars, and it seems that they always forget to post performance specs for their feature cars. Oh... I love reading the rundown on a car that says "engine by so and so, body by so and so, interior by so and so, and assembled by so and so..." It makes me feel like I'm the only fucker in the world dumb enough or poor enough to work on my own car!
Again tho.... cool wagon! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
