well i got back from the swap meet where i got a disc brake converions kit that was for a "1929 modal A" well i get back go to mount the brakets and all the holes are to small so i drill them out to 1/2" then i go to bolt them up and the holes don't line up mine are about 3" apart and the brakets are almost 3 1/2" apart. does any one know if later modal spindles bolt up to 1928 axles? and if so what year should i be looking for? thanks.

it looks like you might have the brackets for the newer spindles,39-48. their holes should be 3 5\16 apart(or 84mm),c to c. they also have 1\2 unc threads.

most disc brake kits are for 37-48 spindles, the 4 holes have a different spacing than model A's....and they go right on the A axle , just use kingpins for the year of the spindles
