I dont fucking get it anymore. At my house now i have a runing 1953 chevy car, a running 1949 GMC truck and a project whippet. Tonight i was unloading the 53 chevy and at was like 12:00pm and one of my neighbors comes out and is like "what the fuclk are you doing. Its late! Get rid of these shit pile things you call cars and stop making noise." I damn near lost it. I told him good night and to fuck off. It wasnt eve that loud. I just had to take it off the trailer. Am i just stupid or what to have these cars. I dont get why everyone thinks they are piles of shit. I love my cars and im tired of my neighbors bitching. I take my truck out and go to the local pool hall on a friday or saturday and i get so many people saying that its such a noice truck. WTF is the deal with some people.

I dont know, this is just a rant. I was really pissed at my neighbor. I wasnt even maing much noise. I dont knowe im drunk and pissed. Sorry for the bitch, but am i the only one who gets this or is this normal?

He doesnt understand why you would want to drive your "pile of shit" while he drives some nice, safe, nondescript ecno box, most likely a Civc or Camry. Thats why we built on a 2 acre lot and luckily for me, my neighbors on both sides are gearheads one has a '57 vette that is a quarter=mile terror! the other one has several 4x4's and four wheelers! Both those fuckers are louder than i am but shit it's cool with me.

It has a lot to do with the neighborhood...I was a mailman in Danville Ca. and came across a bunch of notices in mailboxes from a caring neigbor ...basically said "in Danville we park our trucks in the garage..not in plain view in the driveway" Guess the person didn't want real working people to live in their town!
Anyway...maybe you just live in too nice of neighborhood!!!haha Fuckem they can move if they don't like it...maybe you should remind them of that!

The major reason I left Califonicate was because every time my 58 fairlane sat for more than two days in the same place some asshole would call the cops and I'd have to move it again, and it was licensed and insured,but I just didn't drive it that much,I got the chance to move back to the family house on two acres with no nieghbors,I have 25 viehcles from cushman scooters to 5 ton 6X6s and no one to bitch about it,it's heaven.

Were you the mailman for San Ramon too? LOL. When I lived there one of the neighbors had an issue with the 91 camaro I was driving at the time. (At that time the thing was NEW!) So when the exhaust "fell" off, I volunteered for the EARLY shift at work, and fired it up at 3am.

It's everywhere and rampant. You must be living in yuppie suburban hell. That's why we wmoved to where we are now. Tell him to get rid of his shitpile he calls a life, and to buy a REAL one.

If you were quiet and your neighbor came outside to freak on you about noise, then he was just looking for a fight, maybe you should have given him one.
If, however, you were loud enough to wake me out of a deep sleep, I'd be pissed too.
Conflicts like this happen on every street in every neighborhood around the world. Usually, it stems from something as simple as disrespect.
My truck is definately not the quietest ride around and I know I try to keep it down in the evening time, or if I come home late, I'll idle it down the street and into the driveway or garage. I hate home associations, what with their overzealous NAZI ways. Screw that. But why do you think "associations" came about in the first place? A somewhat misguided, innocent idea gone horribly wrong!

It was loud and i know it. And the first thing i said when he came out was sorry i didnt reallyhave a choice. I got home late from picking up a motorcycle, and i had to get the car i had off the trailor. It was either at 12:00am or 5:30 am. So i opeted to just do it since i was awake and sleep in. But i was very apoligetic (sp?) and he just kept being al lippy.

The point where i got really fucking angry was when he said i was lucky he didnt shoot my dog. And that stemed from my dog about a month ago getting out of the yard and going over to play with his two. Well he said my dog attacked his and i know it isnt true. My dog goes with me all over the place and to the beach and plays with other dogs. And has never once atacked another dog. Everytime a dog barkes or growls at him he runs away.

Its just annoying. I told him if he had any more problems to call the cops if its to loud for him or to call the city about my cars sitting there. But the thing is i have lived in this house my whole 21 years of life, and my father has owned it for narly 35 years. and he just moved in less than a year ago. So in my mind. He can just fuck off.

If you weren't making noise he wouldn't have known you were there... so obviously you were making a racket. Some folks (like me) have to get up really fucking early for their jobs... maybe he was just venting and knew the way to insult you would be to dis your cars.

My upstairs neighbor walks like a fricking rhinosorus... and is quiet all day until 11 at night then starts jumping around... and don't get me started about his sex schedule... every Tues, Thurs and Sunday at 3 in the morning... that stupid chickie has GOT to be faking! And I swear I'm sure she's not even done yet and he's already run to the toilet and flushed it....

Best way to get back is to be nice....
few years ago i had a simular problem, got an annomous letter in the mail box about not overhauling every engine i can find, and to stop working on my cars by 7:30...fuck them didn't change anything other than the fact that i keep waveing at them when i drive by and always be nice and say HI to them, I think i burned them more that i just played nice guy than to get pissed.
