Looking for a wheel to bring in the tires on a 54 Plymouth I'm working on (Camaro subframed). I bought some 15 x 5 wheels (5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern) with 3 inch backspacing, and they are not deep enough. The car is lowered SO MUCH, the tires still hit the fenders. The major wheel makers don't list a wheel this size with more backspacing, and it doesn't look like they would be able to make one with the rims and centers that are on the wheels I have now. What to do? Anyone every get custom wheels with super deep backspacing? Say 3 1/2" or 4" on a 5" wide rim? I measured front wheel drive rims, and the backspacing would work, but I didn't find any with a standard GM bolt pattern: 5 x 4 3/4. Were any made like that?

S10 4x4, or 78 to 85 Toronado/Eldorado/Rivi. Also any wheel that fits a Vette 84 to 90

Ditto...!

Another choice could be buying custom offsets from "Weld Wheels".

Or read Bobbleeds Wheel reversing tech..., Might help.

Mark,

There's a yard in Conshy that has a lot of wrecked S-10's & Blazers. Let me know if you need me to pick up a pair.

Wait a second -- why am I offering to do Kenny's dirty work?!?

I am getting ready to get wheels for my car as well and I also need a deep offset. I talked to the guys at Stocton Wheel and Rally america and the most backspacing they can put on a 6" wide wheel is 4 1/4". But in my research I have found a wheel made by Allied wheel company, you can purchase their products at Les Schwab, that is called a snow wheel it is their series 70 oem replacement. but a 6" wide wheel has a 4 7/8" backspacing. I havent checked on prices as of yet. they have a web site with all wheel specs. Fastcat

Found a company in West Allis Wisconsin called "Diamond Racing Wheels" and I can get anything cut up or made for a reasonable price.

I'll be in contact with them soon before my chassis build.
