Tx Guys! Wanna have a party in H-Town??

I talked to several members about doing a Rat Fink Christmas party, and even went so far as to try to set a date at the Houston Continental Club...At this point I'm weighing 3 options:
1. Stay home and try to get the roadster project going...
2. Make miracles happen and have a gathering of cars,art,etc....
3.Get the roadster started AND pull off the party .....
Maybe if you guys could give us an informal roll-call as to who would wanna show support for such a show?
The club gave us a tentative date of Dec.6 (Houston Autorama Time,as well)...
We sure as hell aren't show promoters...we just want another excuse to sling paint with our friends and hang out at the CC for a day....
Need your opinions and input....

Whats wrong with Dec. 6 or the 13? I think is should be the same date as the one in Cali. That way no matter which one you go to its the same day. Over take the whole parking field next door and that side st., Put vendors in the fence. and make newer cars fight for parking on the streets of Houston.

Thanks Krupanut! CC has The Mavericks already booked,I think...but that's only that night....daytime and openers are wide open....I guess it's really up to the club...Man,I guess you guys are serious! We better start planning some stuff to do that day...

We're there. Mrs. Fatluckys is busy stitchin' up purses for her booth and I'm gonna try to throw some artsy type stuff together too.

The only problem w/ the Sat 12/6 date is that if the Mavericks confirm we are going to have clear the club and the back yard by around 7pm maybe earlier if we have to do an early load in and sound check ect (that show is a $25 show)and we are going to need that parking lot accross the street from the club for patron parking. They have not confirmed yet but we are hoping it will happen soon. This means if it does happen you would have to pull up stakes much earlier than you antcipated and vacate....seems that would be a drag esp if the show is in full swing. The best alternative would be to do all day and into the eve on Sunday Dec 7 and we can combine it w/ a swap and bop and get all the favorite bands to come in and play that Sunday. There is no potential conflicts on Sunday. We will all come down from Austin Sat eve to see the Mavericks and be ready to Fink out early and all day Sunday. Better safe than sorry.It will be much smoother. My advice "don't try and cram 10 lbs of sh-t in a 5lb sack."
