Hi
I seem to have broken the rules, posted before introducing myself.
My name is Brendan and I live in Melbourne Australia.
I have restored some old bikes, 1946 Matchless and 1969 Triumph.
I am a fair welder and machinist as I went through the REPCO apprentice training centre in the 70’s, it’s a shame it no longer exists but that was in the days when companies had a long term view and knew that if you didn’t train apprentices you would have no tradesmen later on.
I am new to hot rods, but I have it in mind to build an A model roadster, I bought a 1935ish side valve V8 and trans. and have got the engine running.
I think they may be 1935 from a truck of some description, the engine number is C18BBQF13290 and the trans number is 3G14697F. Can anyone Identify the year of the engine and trans, is the trans a 4 speed?
Regards
Brendan
