Well...MY fault on the carb problem...who knew that solenoid thingy makes it IDLE??? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Ran the beast for about five minutes this afternoon...then remembered...OH FUCK...there's like ONE quart of ATF in the tranny and no yoke!!!

Fuck! Hope I encounter another remarkable example of Turbo-Hydramatic toughness when everything is buttoned up and it gets slipped into "Drive" for the first time!!!

(If not, the MOTOR has to come out to replace the tranny in a 49-54 Chevy with stock crossmember...ain't a-gonna happen!!!)

Wish I woulda left the converter bolts off for a while! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Anyhoo..it runs...kinda, and the cooling system held it's mud...no obvious leaks...and I guarantee ya the thermostat was open!!

(Ha Ha ha...my brother-in-law was like "Where's your gauges? Is it too hot? Got oil pressure? What the fuck??". Ha Ha Ha...who needs GAUGES? Ignorance is BLISS with a V6!!)

I had a 350 in a chevy once, it was locked up (stuck rings?), so I broke it loose with a breaker bar and wd40. Once it got loose enough that it didn't take two hands to turn it, we filled the bowl on the carb, and cranked it over. It actually lit, and dad held it wide fuckin open.. first time it ran in 3 years. Do or die! Motor turned out to be one tough SOB, I never took it easy on it...
