Hi guys & gals....its been a long time and Ive been away ( although lurking) due to work commitments and wrenching on the Deuce.
Been a bloody cold winter in Melbourne and glad to see the back of it too !!
The coupe is getting closer to kompletion. Panels are in epoxy primer as is the frame and komponents. Its a 3.5" chopped 3W, 258 inch 8BA, offy heads, offy triple intake + 5 speed trans, with 16x7.50" and 16x5.25" Firestones bias plies on 40 steelies. Pls dont give me any shit coz its a glass body...try finding a 3W in good nick down here....impossible !!
The Deuce grille, insert, tank, a heap of interior bits, radiator and other odds & ends are arriving from So Cal mid November, so ill have my work cut out for me. Ive done ALL the work so far, and Im gonna wire it and paint it too. Interior Im gonna have to farm out though....but its gonne be a 90% home built ride.
Although its my first rod (not my first build)....Im very happy with the way its comin together (will try and post pix when I load onto my pc and get your thoughts)and it looks killer. Has a lot of period parts as Ive been collectin' for over 6 years - no mean feat Down Under either!!
Stuff like F100 shock mounts and front brakes, the wheels, intake, carbs, steering wheel, A bone X member and spring, Guide headlites, Mallory ignition etc are all swapmeet finds. Once i get this sucker on the road, its gonna get a lung on top of it.
Any way....thought I'd get back on here and let u guys in on the progress....now that I remembered my X^#)!X%* password !!
