Here’s an old one. A logo I did for a classic racing team a while back. Started with a standard typeface and redrew letters S&t to get a personal expression in the logo.

I did the ornamental striping on this boat for Mike Dwight yesterday. That 'ol fart still has Chops! Take a look at his '70s inspired paint job. Remember the Busy Body Vans? He brought it all back with PPG products and backed it with a lifetime waranty. I was honored to finish up this sweet boat.

Here is some photochop stuff I do for friends. I change the car, color, top, whatever they want. I start with a side pic of the car and cut that out than cut up the car for chopping or whatever than add color and graphics than put in a cool background and blend.

I start with this:
http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii22/Warbirds_photos/ford1.jpg

And end up with these:

Not sure if I've posted some of these but here ya go. These practice paintings are a few years old and were originally photos from the "van people book. They were pretty small (5x7 I think). Not entirely on topic , sorry bout that. The other is art for a new ad for one of our fellow HAMB members. It will be in Dice. Also included are a few cars I did for Jada toys last year.Enjoy!

LowCab...

L-O-V-E that! Glad to see that the past still lives on.

I had the honor of reproducing the lettering on the M-S 554 when Brizio restored it for Brian Burnett back in '85 (before it was bought by Jerry Moreland [I believe] and re-re-done). The latter version is the one yours is based on.

When I did it I had to work from 20+ year old tiny black & white or off-color images/magazine pics. Since we couldn't find a "Clay Smith Cams" text decal to go under the woodpecker I just painted it on (like in the 'Blood print).

A couple of early-on resto pics:

PACHICO..--- That Chevy I looks great.
So do you draw the cars freehand then ink them up or do you work from photos>
You have a good eye for the hi contrast stuff; picking and choosing which features to highlight and which to silhouette. Very nice work.

Good god - Jeff!!!!
Jigger - I illustrate on 11x17 paper with mechanical pencil, ink it and scan it into Photoshop to clean up tight corners and "fix" some straight lines such as grills or like the spokes in the front engine dragster. The reason I use 11x17 paper, I have a ton of 11x17 frames which I hang in my gallery at home.
Thanks for the good word.

.................................................. ..................

A friend of ours bought an Altered for Richcraft Mike and I to drive. I can't wait.. I lettered it up. His Last name is Coldiron, which I have always liked, But more important.. My dad and I have a running gag with Coldiron, We "sneek" a Dick and balls in every stripe job we do for him. If you knew Coldiron... You'd understand. We just make up shit for all his cars, I don't remember where the "Bait & Speed" came from.. Who cares, It looks cool.

I got new friends yesterday and better half of them, Nicoline is so pro painter! Look: http://www.nicoline-heemskerk.com/

On "Bike Art" there´s a lot of net traditional pin up staff with great taste of humor. I can look galleries for hours, there´s so nice details all over.

She even painted about 7 ft high pin up- hot rod painting on http://www.flyingchoppers.com shop wall, it was nice to see oilpaints begin to live on the wall. I hope Andy add pic from painting on his site.

A few months ago I was asked to letter a volkswagon beetle by a guy at a body shop close by. I was thinking this would just turn out to be a name or two on the door but when I got there to look at the car I knew I had a heck of a job ahead of me!
I dont know if any of you have ever heard of BILLYBEER. I know I dont remember it im way too young! Its the Beer company that Billy Carter (President Carters brother) founded and the volkswagon was the first car they used to market the beer and this body shop is restoring the car for the Carter Family. Here are some pics of what Ive got done so far, I attached a pic of the can so you guys can see the logo I had to go by. -Jamie
