I'll also use the time to do a re-intro because I don't think I ever did it right in the first place. My name is Harrison, a lot of people call me Harry for short, and I live in Chattanooga TN. I'm 16 turning 17 on this next monday and a senior in high school. I run a detailing business for side cash, and used to work for my dads computer business. I have a 55 chevy more door and now this(which is a father son project) both go very slow because of a lack of money on my part, plus the time I spend on school work. I do what I can do, just live my life and hope for the best, I have already gotten to know some of you but I dont think I ever really made an intro..so here it is http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Damn good deal! The body looks pretty solid in the pictures. It's even better that you got it to run. What kind of plans do you have for it? Keep us posted on the project, good luck.

Well the body WAS REAL straight up until the move, now there is a small dent in it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif slipped while loadint it onto the trailer and hit something. Car has 0 rust! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Really my dad is more for the plans on this one since its mostly going to be his money involved, but so far we hve decided we want to cut the top off http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Also shave it, french some stuff, put some diferent tailights (you'll see what we have in mind later) and maybe remove the bumpers for roll pans. We don't really know yet, thats just things we talked about on the drive home http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

If you do you will regret it. You said it's rust free and it looks pretty nice, a chop, yeah go for it but dont just cut it off and leave it that way.
That's a good looking body style, especially the roofline. I'd do it up as a mild custom, and drive the hell out of it... great find...

I hvent looked too much at the bumpers, I'll ask my dad about it later. Sorry, not looking to trade it quite yet, thanks for the offer anyhow though.

Hello Harry! welcome to the Hamb. That's a great find, you must be living right.I'ts your car, but I would leave the top on. There's a lot more to making a car topless, than just cutting the top off. There's a lot of structural rigidity in that top. You probibly would not like to own a dodge "taco'. It CAN be done though, but I've seen some horrible examples! Whatever, you have a great start! Good to have another 10-C hamber, and hope to meet you in the future. Glenn

Thats a sweet ride, already got the best grille ever put in a car,and the most popular engine,Don't leave the top off, chop it for sure but I've never seen a fake convert that didn't look fake, maybe a chopped carson top? Great start,it's good to see a kid and dad project.
