You've got an early flathead setup there with a late gen that's way farther forward than an early. Get hold of an early set of components--thirties stuff put the fan on the gen pulley, and gen was WAY back from there, driven off the INNER sheave. What is your crank pulley? It looks like it might be a late one too--front sheave looks way too forward for a '42-48, though I'm at work and running on memory here. '42-48 drove gen off inner sheave, fan on separate bracket under gen from front sheave. This would be a better placement vertically for that car, and if my memory is correct would be back enough to fit.
You've got the compact distributor and pumps, you just need one of the earlier gen and fan setups I think.

If it's a '48, it will have a big "59"on the bell housing--doesn't matter much, block basic dimensions are much the same. Gen is late FH, '48 up truck or '49 up car. Pulley looks more like '48 in latest pics--I can measure known stuff it it helps. You likely don't have room for '42-8 fan, but I can measure for you. You might well need an early fan right on gen nose, but you certainly need an earlier generator--the pulley aligns with your inner sheave, getting you probably 3 inches or so. A '37 manifold will dropit a bit if you need more headroom there...
I've gotta go and will be away until Monday night. Wish you lived closer--I keep a sort of library of pulleys and things for just this sort of figgerin. Meantime, figure out what dimensions you need.

And check with AV8 Dave--I think he made up a '42 type rig with fan pushed back a bit. You can get a bit more room by swapping on a '42 dist cap there.
