iam thinking of doing an olliptical spring suspension on the front of my car, my question is, is there any functional diffrence between a solid wish bone and a four bar kit?

Split wishbones or 4 bar ?
With an I-beam,there is no difference.
4 bars were developed to work with tube axles.

iam sorry, you have to excuse me, iam not fully awake all this home works gettin to me, what i meant was if using a I beam axle with quater elliptical springs is a radius rod setup and a wish bone the same functionaly, sorry if i dont get the terms right, iam still learning : )

If you'r using 1/4 eliptical springs the spring can act as one of the bars. If youre using a transverse spring that's different from a 1/4 eliptic. Best bet is to read everything you can about the subject.
