I know about the 53-56 F 100 brakes on early spindles, just wondering if there was a big change in 57 that makes these ones unusable...
Ive just been offered some 57 brakes and wondered if theyre any use to me.earlier ones are mighty thin on the ground down here.if its just a smallish machining problem no worries...

The drums and shoes are the same as 53 - 56 F100's.

53 to 66 drums and shoes interchange.

I do not know about the hubs and backing plates.

I think the 57 backing plate has a small center hole with the wrong spacing on the 4 mounting bolts. But you MIGHT get them to fit with machine work. The offset may be different, too, but if you could machine them.....Try it and You tell us if it will work. As far as the brake shoes, they interchange 48 to 66 for Ford pickups and they also are in use on the back of my 57 Chevy and the back of my 59 Ford pass. car and the 75 Jeep--alla same shoes.
