Good morning. My name is Matt. I'm newly registered to the HAMB, but I've lurked on and off for a few years. I'm a huge fan of traditional style hot rods, but my knowledge on the topic isn't quite where I'd like it to be. I'm here to absorb as much info as I can so that one of these days when I have the means to do so I can build myself something. In the meantime I'm pushing on trying to help with a family project – my dad's Model T. It's a 1925 Fordoor. My dad has had it for 15 or so years. Being a small business owner he hasn't really had the time to touch it, so it's been tucked in a corner waiting to be worked on. He's gone back and forth between wanting to do an original restoration on it, or cutting it up and hot rodding it. Really, I'm here to see if anyone can provide more info on the car. Is it rare? Should we chop it up or find something else to hot rod? I'd hate for us to chop it up only to find that we could have hot rodded something else while giving this thing a resto.

The car...

Welcome. I'm new too and not SKEERED! How are you going to style that '25? Don't be afraid to take someone's original car and rod it! I went to a local show and saw a beautiful '30s Cadillac 4door Sedan. Told the guy I would love to make a rod out of it and he threatened to punch me in the mouth... I admired his misdirected passion...

Thanks for the welcome guys. Not sure which direction we're going with yet. Need to sit down with dad and really get the details down so we can start collecting parts, etc. Nevermind the fact that I need to get him to settle on hot rodding it as opposed to a resto!

56KUSTOM, I live in Worcester. The T is at my folk's house in West Boylston.
