Yeah Gooch Im known to have the dirtiest garage in all of south Texas (actually tied with HRH). It's not that I don't want it to be clean, just more projects than time. Finally got the coupe back together so I broke down and cleaned it.
Barnett,
Health inspector was okay with it, but the wife wasn't. What kinda projects we talkin about? Threw out half the damn garage, allllll kinds a room now!

Hey...where'd the lathe go?! Why's that stupid white 'fridge still there? What's with that boat anchor hanging there?
Gooch...dirty is a severe UNDERSTATEMENT! Crease doesn't waist time putting things back in the toolbox or on the shelf...it's kind of amazing that he is able to do such nice work, yet be such a slob. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Ahhh...you know I love ya Crease! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif By the way...when did you get a 40 Dodge? Oh wait...that was what was under that big pile!?! HAHAHAHAHHAA! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dan,
The lathe is right under the nonoperational flourescent lighting. Boat anchor? Can't you tell a Rocket from a 389? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Do I need to get Babs to post the "Kentucky waterfall" pic? I haven't been this offended since I saw the 20 inch penis post a few minutes ago. Im gonna go puke in a very offended and hurt manner now. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

As for the Kentucky waterfall...you got no proof of nuthin! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I'm not even talking about that other thread....there's just some things I don't need to see.

How durable is the floor paint that is sold @ home supply stores. I've seen the stuff that is tintable just don't know if it's worth the money. I have a 20'x40' shop that I gotta put some kinda finish on the floor. Any info would be appriciated.

Baytowngreaser. I used a heavy duty paving paint from a paint supply. When we did the slab for my garage we put a pretty good finish on it, knowing I would be painting it, (Note it could have be finished even better, but was not necessary). When the cement was set a month or so it was etched with sulphuric acid ( a floor that is old has to be cleaned very well, seek advice and or carefully read instructions! note mine was new and still required the etching process, you buy the acid at the hardware and just scrub in on!) and then painted with two coats, by rolling and cutting in with a brush. This was around ten years ago and I recoated around 5 years ago. It really holds up quite well, it probably didn't really need recoating but I just wanted to freshen it up. I do serious work in my garage, although because it is painted I take a little more care when beating on stuff on the floor, usally take stuff out side where reqired. It just makes my garage so much nicer to work in and is so easy to sweep up. It can get a little slick if it gets wet. I usually give it a good mop out every few months.
Just a point I believe the best work does not necessarily come out of the best kept or layed out shops. Everyone one is different, I have just set mine up to suit me and I love it; I am out here all the time; even as I write this. Geoff aka Whodaky

I used the Epoxy Floor Paint available at my local Lowe's. It has lasted great so far. I just really need to clean my floor more. I still have one more section to do. The big thing is cleaning VERY thoroughly, it'll make all the difference...
Notice how the floor is in gloss but the car is not http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
