Here's my favorite. It's a tray made by autotray co inc from indianapolis, ind. It just clamps to the dash.

don't know about those. I got a 51 GMC panel that has TropicAir. That's a cool radio though.

As far as the heater is concerned, I can't remember is those were a squirrel cage or a regular fan, but it doesn't make a lot of difference. Get yourself a 2 speed heater motor. Tear the heater apart. If it's a regular fan, you'll have to drill the fan out to fit the motor and probably modify the bracket that holds the motor in place. The 12V motor is larger. If it's a cage just eyeball how it will fit and use the drill out idea or go to your local hardware store and pick up a cage that is the same diameter and will fit the motor.
I did this on a 39 Chevy, It had the fan style. Modified it so it would fit, drilled the fan out, and wired it up. The motor IIRC was out of a 57 Ford and would cool the heater core on high. It would almost run ya out on low, and this was is Colorado.

I run a 6 volt heater in my 37 on 12 volt. Just don't run it on high.

I've got a pic. Sorry no idea on availability. This is from a real early 50's Popular Science I think.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents , Chevys of the 40's has a 12 v replacement motor for the heater and the radio is aftermarket the original is mounted in the dash above the ign switch also the underdash tray is aftermarket as well.

My 54 Chevy has the same heater in it.
To convert to 12 volts, I used a 59 Chevy truck heater blower motor in it. Straight in swap with no mods at all. I got my blower motor and the idea from Old Air Parts in Ft Worth Texas.
