Anyone know which magazines these D'Agostino built cars were featured in. I think the Caddy 'vert "Marilyn" was featured in R&C Sept '98, but can't seem to find much on the other two.
Thanks in advance.

Custom Rodder or Rod & Custom.....
I get both of them and I can remember seeing those rides - so it must be in one or the other, but I can't do any better than that for ya. I am too damn lazy to go rifling through my boxes of mags to dig it out for you. Unless noone else figures it out for you. Then MAYBE I'll give it a shot.....
Doesn't D'Agustino have a website or something? Maybe there is something there.....

I can't find Marilyn, guess those men in black took that box of mags away. Cool 57 was in the September '98 issue and The Imperial was in the July '97 issue, before that beautiful Hollenbeck/ Winfield fade paint job was buffed through on the deck lid.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Interior: Swedish Elmo leather.
Awards: Many international award They are three of the best-known customs in the country and for the first time they will be displayed together this year.
The three international award-winning Cadillacs were customised by world-famous custom coach (car) builder John D'Agostino in the US and were brought to Australia by an Australian private collector.
The multi-award winning "Marilyn", a 1953 Eldorado Biarritz, will be joined by "Imperial Royal", a 1956 Imperial, and "Cool 57", a 1957 Cadillac Coupe DeVille at MotorEx at Homebush, in Sydney, on July 3 and 4.
The collector purchased the trio in the US at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Auctions in California in 1999. The cars were purchased for what is believed to be more than $500,000.
Just under a year ago Hollywood Classics purchased the trio for an undisclosed figure to be hired out for weddings, formals and other special events.
"We heard one was being auctioned but that the guy had bought them as a set and wanted to sell them as a set so we went along to the auction and bought all three at the same time to use as wedding cars," says company director Kathy Savvas.
"When we (Kathy and husband Nick) were looking around for cars for our wedding there was nothing like these," she says.
"They are beautiful cars."
The cars and company are owned by three couples but the running of the business is carried out by the women – Savvas along with Libera and Milly Serci.
Savvas says at first they thought "Marilyn" (left) would be the most popular but have been surprised by the response to "Cool57".
D'Agostino was born in Pittsburgh (one of the hot spots for customising cars) and got into building and customising model cars when he was a child.
D'Agostino has displayed his custom cars in more than 750 shows and most of his cars are on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California.
They have won many awards including multiple "Best of Show" and "Most Popular Car" awards along with many record-breaking prestigious awards.
D'Agostino has been inducted into the Academy Awards of Automobile Excellence and the Oakland Grand National Roadster Show Hall of Fame. Additionally, he has many other "Hall of Fame" honours.
Perhaps one of his most known customs, so famous it is a Hot Wheels collector car, is "Marilyn", a convertible he bought in 1998.
The Eldorado Biarritz is a chopped Carson top painted in a light yellow pearl with golden highlights with shell-white Swedish Elmo leather and gold brocade inserts inside.
It has a 5.2 litre, eight-cylinder engine and has won many awards including "World's most beautiful custom" and "First in class" at Oakland, Sacramento and Portland, and "Best Paint and Interior" at many shows.
"Cool57" (right) was bought by D'Agostino in 1998. It was first customised by Gene Winfield for a Hollywood movie producer but not finished.
It has House of Kolor candy magenta paint, a 6.0-litre, eight-cylinder engine and pearl-white interior in Swedish Elmo leather.
D'Agostino built "Imperial Royale" the year before "Marilyn" with Acme Customs in Antioch and Gene Winfield.
It is powered by a 1957 Chrysler Imperial engine – a 392 Imperial Hemi with twin fours on a polished aluminium manifold and rare factory chrome valve covers and is automatic.
The car is painted in a candy-pearl copper with a gold and cinnamon toner over a light-cream base. The interior has a pair of swivel-mounted bucket seats, a custom console and rear seat. It is trimmed with white-pearl leather and imported Italian copper fabric.
The cars are available for hire at $230 per car per hour or can be hired as a group with special rates.
