Per usual I took, or had taken by strangers passing by, a bunch of photos that have HAMB folks at the PileUp in them. I thought I would post them for your viewing pleasure. I won't bother posting any of my hot rod shots cuz all have been covered already on previous posts.

These two guys were like a couple of 6 year olds. They sat in that roadster all day long making VROOM, VROOM noises. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I didn't catch their names but their mugs looked familiar from the HAMB.

Thought I would add this shot to this list. It was taken by ThirthyfivePickUp and is of Mojo66 (w/beverage) I can't beleive he wasn't checking out the babe in the red shirt. Maybe he's a "Cheater" at heart http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thought I'd bring this people shot to this thread as well

YES!!! Denise, you ROCK!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Not only did you compile a fantastic photo-essay of HAMBERS at the gig...
...you managed to snap a good pic of that WAY COOL red primered 32!! I saw the car in person at KulturePimp's gig in Indy...but it was too dark to get a good photo of it by then!!
Thanks a BUNCH for submitting that one!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
(Your first drink is on me if you make it out this weekend!!)

You might want to snuggle up to Rudy this weekend..... he was oh so close to obtaining that hot rod on Sat. I still think he's considering the trade http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif A ride in that coupe might be in your future. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Me, I prefer topless, so it really didn't turn me on as much as some of the other rides there. This is an event you need to make sure you get to next year bud.

Denise, the guy in the green Deke Dickerson shirt is Oilcan, not CAS.

Thanks Joe, I kind of thought it wasn't right when I was typing it but I couldn't come up with a name that felt completley right. I know I met CAS but I can't remember what he looks like now http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hey Denise,
Thanks for the pics. It was a real pleasure and honor meeting you. Your one hell of a Hot Rodder and a fine young lady.
It was a great day for Midwestern Traditional Rods n' Kustoms. It was great to meet other HAMBer's and I wish I had met more.
I hope to see you Michigan HAMBer's in January when I attend the Auto Craft Collision Panel Jam in Canton and your Detroit Custom Car show in Febuary is on the list of things to do in '04.
Thanks to Hellfish and Abomber30 for a great day. What a kool vibe! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It is always good seing you Denise! I'm glad someone was taking pictures. I was wondering who some of those people were. I think I only took about 4 pictures all day.
You know how they say that people resemble their pets, well CAS looks EXACTLY like a Boston terrier. LONG LIVE ERNIE!

Troy let me drive his '32 at 1 in the morning Friday night. So Paco and I took it for a short jaunt, open headers and all. I've never driven a Duece or an open headered car, and it was KICK ASS. When I got back, all the guys just laughed cause they knew I was ruined. I can't wait to get my coupe driveable... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Damn I look old in pics....I thought I was still 16 but I guess not http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Yea Troys 3 winder really did it for me, I was half joking when I walked up and asked him if want to trade it for my roadster. I was real surprized when the first thing he said was" you'll have to come up with some money".
After he told me what it would take to buy it I wanted to know more about the car and we talked for quite awhile.
Troy is a good guy and comes from a hodrod family, and really knows his shit.
Nice pics Denise http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You ARE 16 in your heart, and when you drive your roadster I'd swear you were even younger then that http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
You guys wanna know the final count of HAMB folks in attendance??...................................... ..................

Clarence needs a coat of Black Suede so he fits in a little better. Or maybe Atch thinks he's a good guy amongst a bunch of Gangsters, so he keeps Clarence white.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Thanks for the pics Denise! I don't know how you keep everyone straight... I can remember faces, but names are hard for me. I need to learn your secret!

Denise, Rudy sends Race out in the roadster when he wants to make everyone believe he's young. Next time check it out closely that Rudy is a sly devil.
Frank
HRLC...you won't find any pics of me. I'm mysterious...thats why you can't place the face with the name.
(actually I 'm just a geeky smartass no reason for a pic)

Uh Denise, that pic was taken of the chick in the red shirt... not Mojo66. Besides, his hair is messed up and that shirt really isn't flattering on him.:)

Dan, it was my pleasure. It was great to finally meet you in person and Nailhead60 being there as well was a unexpected treat. I enjoyed our conversation and especially watching you letter the window. I'd never seen it done before. Been thinking I might try my hand at painting flames on my picture window in the front of my house for my next hot rod party. My neighbors would love it http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Believe it or not, it was my very first time in a tattoo shop http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Looking forward to our paths crossing again in the near future.

Yeah, ol' Nailhead60 is a real- life-bonafide-cartoon! Next time he's in town we'll get him to tell you some stories...nobody tells a story like Ron (although Jeff from the tattoo shop comes REEEAL close!). As for your first tattoo shop visit...you picked a good one...those guys are amazing artists and swell people as well ! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Let me see if I understand this, Dan was in the Chicago area last weekend and didn't come over to the Pileup.
Dan, what's up with that. Is it because I forgot to grab some Lonestar before we left?

Tyler, Dan was in DETROIT last weekend. He was at a local tattoo shop here in town, on the infamous Woodward Ave, where the "Broken Dreams Cruz" show is held. We went from the PileUp to the tattoo shop on Sunday. With as much raving as we did about the PileUp to all the guys in the shop, it won't surprise me if Dan, Nailhead60 and all TX & KS boys that they run with, show up at the PileUp next year.

Ah, You must of been at Electric Superstition, right Denise. Am I right.
Home of the Detroit chapter of the Deadbeats.
Did ya happen to see a Turnpike Cruiser skirt hanging on the wall. It's black w/ candy orange flames w/ racing flag hidden in the flame,. It was a give away at the Canton panel jam in 2002. It was striped by me and Gibb.
Oops, didn't mean to hijack the post.

So Barnett could have come up a couple days earlier and joined the mayhem.
I guess I need to have a little talk with him at the day of the drags.

You are certainly right, that be THE place. I was given the grand tour but I honestly don't remember seeing the skirt, although I'm sure I didn't see half the stuff that was there. I really thought the couches and chair made out of car parts were really cool and was admiring those. I'll make it a point to look for the piece next time I'm there.

Since he was in town on the Thursday before it would have been no problem for him to head to the PileUp with us. He could have sat on my lap in the roadster! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Definitely wanna make the Pile-Up next year...Denise and Rudy talked it up up alot! Been checking out the pics, too...looks like way too much fun! I had another friend in town (Detroit) from Ohio, so I was just kinda hanging out with him at the shop on Saturday, having a little impromtu (sp?) lettering class. Who knows...might even get the freak-conoline up there!
Peter Pan...that skirt is cool! It was temporarily off the wall since the guys were not only having me re-letter the windows and door, but also remodeling the front counter. you'll have to stop in and check the place out...they just repainted the outside of the shop a crazy Mopar green and are in the process of revamping the interior. Always something going on at ES.
