We started with a 1953 body with a broken frame under the front cab mounts, and it looked like everyone who ever owned a welding machine had a crack at this frame.
We disassembled the truck completely and got rid of the frame, after doing so realizing that this is one of the 2 places a serial number is located! oops:eek: No worries the one on the glove box door will be there??? oops...oops:confused:.
So now to locate the paper work, It's been 15 years a couple of houses and a few starts and stops on the restoration project for the old truck. Paper work still has not been found, found the keys though!
My wife and I are going to the garage to finish the tear down of the flathead now, which we found out is a 49, and the frame we tracked down is from a 54.
The project continues...
