I've got a 265PP with an Offy intake and a 500cfm Edelbrock carb. My stock fuel pump is dead so it's kinda hard to time the motor with no fuel. The stock line I took off the car are 1/4" steel. The carb is 3/8 inverted flare and so is a newer fuel pump. The carb right now I have a 3/8-5/16 bushing then a 5/16-1/4 bushing. I want to retain the A/C Delco fuel bowl which is 1/4" NPT. How can I do this without looking rediculous with the multiple fittings? I want to be able to buy a fuel pump off the shelf, as I can order a stock pump, yet still have the vintage look...
PS: on a better note the engine/trany swap is done besides timing and of course this fuel problem.....

I'm pretty sure the AC fuel bowl filters are 1/8th pipe not 1/4. You should be able to get one fitting that will go from 3/8 line to the 1/8th pipe. A friend runs that on his car. There may be brake system adapters that will get you where you want to go. Try NAPA - they have a pretty good selection of adapters in their brake parts section.

The traditional approach: Got to parts store and stand there opening all 300 little bitty drawers in the Weatherhead fitting cabinet and trying to screw the mysterious widgets into your parts until you either attain enlightenment or give up and buy a Civic.

I wish I could do that.... none of the parts stores around here are that old.

They got em back there in the middle isle...just look for the oldest guy behind the counter and ask him for help http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
If its a zinc looking fitting be sure to screw the fitting in and screw the line into it BEFORE tighteng the fitting into the carb/bowl,
thats so it wont collapse- as it would surely do if tightened [without the line inside it].
a brass one would be better quality.
