Anyone recall an old b grade TV movie that aired in about 1978. From memory was kinda based on a story about a family living in CA someplace who were terrorized by some local kids with street machines, doing wheelies on their front lawn and planting bombs in their letterbox etc. In the end the Father went around the their homes and set fire to all their cars. Think there was a Chevy nomad gasser, 55 (or so) Chevy 2 dr, and an early 70's Camaro. Anyone remember the film or title?

The movie you're thinking of is OUTRAGE (1973) starring ROBERT CULP. It's a rare movie that has never been officially released on DVD or VHS, although I used to have a copy of it, but it's long gone now. (I've been a fan of all sorts of Z-Grade cinema for years!) You might be able to find a decent copy here (http://www.pimpadelicwonderland.com/havesgenres.html). When visiting the site, drop Tom an email and let him know that THE CHOOPER sent ya. Tom is a friend of mine and he won't let you down.

As for OUTRAGE, it's a highly entertaining ABC TV Movie of the Week and yea, the hot rods in it were really cool (but most of the cars have a 70's CAR CRAFT Street Freak vibe), especially the pseudo gasser Bel Air. My memory is jogged on what year the Chevy was, but probably a '55 or '56 for sure. Any, the film is more like a low-rent version of WALKING TALL, where ROBERT CULP's character takes all that he can take from the delinquents terrorizing him and his family, and just snaps. It's definitely fun watching him get revenge, although it becomes pretty mean-spirited. Oh, the days of 70s television.

Anyway, here's the link from the IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070497/) if you want to read more on this gem. It won't disappoint.

Maybe this post can be moved somewhere else so it's on topic. Yea, I got a little over anxious back there, since I knew what movie the poster was looking for. However, I will refrain from replying to OT stuff in this section again. I'm loving the HAMB!

Thanks for the detailed info Choop, much appreciated, was beginning to think that film was a figment of my imagination. Robert Culp, The Greatest American Hero guy.
Some crazy old stuff on that movie site too, pissed meself to see they had that voodoo doll movie with the chain.

PS. Yeah realised too late I had accidentally posted in the intro section, couldnt find how to move the post, but question solved, so thanks for the feedback guys. Rock on.

Thats the one, bloody classic! I see that Nomad appeared in Custom & Rod ideas '75. I think I got that issue. Cheers for the link 37. The sabotage scene at the end made me cry as a kid, never seen that movie since. Gotta love those trashy 70's car flicks.

Dont remember that poncy TR6, hope he burned that one out. Damn Pommie (English) poo.
