Ok, so I'm in the process of buying a '56 Chevy to make into a straight axle gasser and was wondering if there are any good websites or books that would help me put this thing together. My buddies building a '55 straight axle car and he's cutting the whole front end off and welding in 2"x 3" tubing I think. I saw a picture of a '55 with the front end of the frame still on and the springs and axle attached to that. I don't know which is the best route to take. So any insite or direction would be greatly appreciated. Also any links or publications you might recommend would be great also.
