Hey everybody, this is my first post on the HAMB. I have been using it as a resource for quite some time now but I have just never posted anything. I have a 53 Chevy 210. I have owned it since last fall. The restoration was started by the previous owner and it is flat black from the beltline down and off white from the beltline up. Since October I have built a set of 3" dropped uprights and steering arms. I stripped the factory wheels and powdercoated them black, with a new set of coker wide whitewalls. I put a new exhaust on it with a smithys muffler. I put 3" Posies rear springs on it and replaced the shocks all the way around. I stripped the dash and garnish moldings to bare steel and painted them bright red. I also stripped all of the chrome trim from the exterior. My next project is a making a set of surface mount merc style fender skirts. Anyway, thanks to everyone who posts on this sight. The information here is a good tool for anyone building a rod.
