For those of you who don't have the pleasure of living in the rust belt, here's some REAL michigan patina. It wouldn't be the rust belt if they didn't dump a million tons of salt on the roads each winter. Can you imagine what a 50 year old car looks like when we find one???

Heck, there's enough material missing on the bottom.. I would just channel it and make a rat rod out of it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now if that were in minnesota, that would be a clean, nice used car. They look like that after a few years, then after about ten years, they rust so bad they just fall apart. Dave

Hatch,
Is that "real" patina or did you paint it on http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If that was an Idaho car the wheelwells would be totally gone. Also there would be rust-thru spots all over the body where the gravel chipped the paint and the top of the hood and trunk would have the paint baked off by the sun.
