Well I think I changed my friends life by hooking him up with this 59..since he moved out to the valley some 5 years ago and sold his old 55 Plymouyh Kustom, he has been sorta depressed.Since I told him the car was all his,he turned over a new leaf,he has gottena all his body shop tools out of mothballs and cleared out his garage in anticipation of the new project,his 14 year old son is anxious as hell to try out his new learned welding skills..We talk everyday now about the car and the proposed build up.
Today I was able to put air in three of the tires , had to replace one,and so now the car is off the ground and is ready to roll!!Step 1.. Next I'm going to attempt to get it running for him,so that way it will be easier to get it on and off the trailer to transport to his place in the valley.not to mention his wife wont freak out as much when she sees it!!
I sold the seats out of it to Donnie, but have yet to get the damn things out of there!Sorry man still trying like hell, homeboy did some backyard rigging in the day..gonna have to do some heavy persuading tomorrow!!
Anyways the plan for the car is a 59-63 period style Kustom in bright red with a white pearl top and white tuck N Roll upholstery.Body Mods will include shaved door handles,nosed and deck job,fill in hood vents,60 Merc Grill,french stock tailights,chrome reversed wheels no caps,wide whites,dump tubes,dropped with flamethrowers..I'm not big on the flame thrower gig,but ok..its his car..59 Impala wheel,spilt the manifold and or install a 283 V8.Car should be sick as hell when its done..I know my buddy ,he will get it done!!And I will make sure he has whatever he needs.I'm glad he owns this car,so that i can be a part of the build up and witness its transformation!!I will take progress pics throughout.. sorry about the long post..I'm about as excited as he is about this venture!!
