Anybody have a good source for king pin specs,I'm using the hubs from a 74 ford 1/2 ton P/U on my 47 lincoln axel, the lincoln king pin is larger diameter then the P/U,but the Pickups are longer,so if I can find a larger diameter pin that is as long as the truck pins I can open the bushings in the truck hubs,I've been trying to find a sleeve to bush up the axel to fit the truck pins but it's thin wall and I don't have any machine shops around, any suggestion would be helpful,Thanks Bob.

Did you ever find any info on king pin swapping? This seems like a good idea for lots of models.

Try Napa.

The very slight difference from early Ford diameter sounds like these probably have the same diameter as Econoline--that swap is covered in an old brake article I have that someone put into Tech o Matic. It's near the bottom of the first page list. Your spindles are too new to have been covered in the article!
I believe you will find that kingpin angle on the Lincoln axle is too vertical, and it will need to be bent, perhaps by a truck alignment shop.
I have at home an actual '32 axle that I found at the scrapyard fitted with Econoline spindles of unknown vintage--it had been crudely adapted to the smaller pins by a simple bushing made by rolling a piece of brass shimstock into a cylinder.

It seems to me that the Econoline van should have the same king pins and spindles as an F100 pickup of the same vintage. Does anybody know for sure?

I went to my local Parts Plus store, the guy is very good and helpful, in the back of Moogs front end catalog is a king pin chart with all dimentions listed,I was able to find a set with the proper diameter but a little long,no problem. There is enough material in the spindel bushing to open up to fit the king pin. I tried napa first and all I got was a stupid look, young kids who probably didn't know what king pins were. Not only does this swapp give me disc brakes but it also loweres the spindles 1 1/2 inches.
