Howza Bruthas,
I was skimming through EBay and looking at old hot rod photos for sale when I stumbled upon this great picture.
A couple of guys, one playin' the fool, having fun next to a really cool 3 window. It is lowered, has some Hollywood caps on it. Appears to be chopped and they have removed the Ford bumpers and attached some Ribbed Mopar units. There is a '36 Ford spare tire in its casing at the ass end.
What a coool car! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I have not seen any custom mid 30's era Fords running around.
Why is that?
I remember Ryan talking about what he would like to build next and he posted a slew of interesting streamlined racers from across the pond.
I think if I could tackle a car this would be it.

Have you ever seen one with that funky swoopy grille...is it a Brewster Grill? Anyone got pics?

Larry Jordan is resurecting "The Golden Nugget", a heavily customized (by Bill Hines) 33 or 34 Ford cabriolet. it was channeled but ran full fenders. it had a slew of modifications and was a show winer. i believe it was at the first ever Detroit Autorama and it should be back in tip top shape for this winters Detroit Autorama. it now sports a MUCH improved chassis designed and built by our HotRodDrummer and his ole man, Denny Lesky, at the Ionia Hot ROd Shop. if the rest of the car comes out half as good as the chassis (and i'm SURE it will) it will be the hit of the show wherever it goes. especially for us traditional hot rod and custom fans...

no pics right now but look for it this winter and in the mags by spring...
