hi guys. heres my first post. i just picked up a model a pickup cab from missouri on the weekend and have a question about the roof on it. it is a full steel roof instead of having the normal insert. an older gentleman from a model a club told me that this was done in the later half of the 1931 production and that it is somewhat rare to find. could any of you guys please tell if what i've been told is true. i want to know if i have something rare to work with and a bit of the history. anyways thanks for the help.

Welcome to the HAMB, but please take the time to post an intro about yourself so we know a little bit about you. Your Model A cab is a "Late" 1931 and most likely had the wide bed, and narrow rear fenders, along with the full steel roof. This was the first all steel body Ford built. They are rare, top and visor are one piece and will fit on any 1930-31 cab. Good luck with the project.

Should also have a dimple in the firewall for the fuel filter.
