I want to relocate the rear leaf springs on my '31 Chevy to lower the rear of the car. Specifically, I want to move the springs from under the frame to the sides... something like a Ford F-1 truck.

The spring & mounts will be mounted on the outer side of the frame with no fenders to cover them, leaving them naked to the world. What could I steal a set of gracefull looking cast mounts from that would also allow the spring (preferably 1-3/4 wide) to hang LOW?

Thanks,
Ed

why not do a quater eliptic set up on the inside of the fram. you could then set the ride height anywhere

The Ford F1 truck uses cast iron rear sping mounts. Use them.
