4 of us leavin Bismarck on Sat. We're going to check out some garage projects on Sat. afternoon and evening then up early to the swap Sun. morning. Any of the local metereologists know if we need to bring "longjohns" this year? We always have a great time anyway. We'll be bringing some "experienced" auto parts from the Dakotas for barter. overspray

I'm gonna try and make it. The weather looks good so far. Partly sunny and mid-50's forecast in Duluth (150 miles north) Saturday thru Monday. Usually warmer in St. Paul. I'll update weather later this week.

i'm going too, along with a couple buddies.not really looking for anything, but who knows what i'll find. the roadster swap is becoming the best swap meet in the area, there is always real hot rod stuff there, stuff we are acually looking for,not like the crap you see at the rest of the swaps. i just hope it doesn't snow like last year

Carl and I are going with either the 56 or the 63 ford galaxie 500 xl for sale on a trailer, last one here, so its alaways a good one w CHEAP prices and can't beat that 500 entry w a swap space included.always a C C C COLD ass day tho.

North parking lot at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. I believe it's on Sunday only. I haven't been there for a couple of years but it's always been a good one when I made it there.

Yep, this Sunday only, north parking lot of the MN State Fairgrounds in St. Paul.

Best swap of the year, every year. It's where all the hot rodders go to clean out their garages before they get snowed in. Always find something good to buy, and the years that we've sold there (my brother and I), we've almost always sold out. Hell, one year my brother made a couple hundred before our stuff even hit the ground -- they were like vultures, helping us unload the truck!

I'm up north this weekend closing a cabin, but might leave early Sunday to stop by. Look for the red '54 Chevy pickup with the tall skinnys on cream wheels.

later,
Steve.

I'll be there, I plan on going down on Saturday and getting a room somewhere so I can get out there early on Sunday. I may drag my '59 Chrysler along to sell or my teardrop trailer but I have not made up my mind yet.

I just heard on KSTP radio in St. Paul that the high on Sunday will be 72. Of course it will be much cooler at 8:00 a.m. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been going to this swap since I was about 4 years old. Indeed the best swap of the year. I won't be selling stuff this year, just buyin. Get there at before 6:00 am and as brian said, bring a flashlight. Dress warm.

We need some hamb patches for winter coats. Dave

Last year we were in line at 5:10 AM amd we were about 3/8 of a mile from the gate and there were about a hundred swappers already in the lot. I'll put a little H.A.M.B. sign in the window of the truck. I hope some of the rest of you will do the same. It's always nice to meet some H.A.M.B.ers. overspray

If you aren't there by 9am, don't bother. When we are selling stuff there we pack up and head home around 10.
They are saying warm and sunny out but I don't believe it. I think it's going to be about -20 degrees with some freezing rain. Dave
