How the hell do you get rid of notifications

I have read the visitors comments I ok them and when I click go it says I haven't done Jack,,,well it don't say jack but the notification doesn't go away,,,says I didn't select a valid message,HELP! HRP

Megan,,I didn't want too but the only way I could get rid of all the visitor notifications was to delete all the post,,, nobody seems to know anything about this problem. HRP
