Well, I'm finally making some progress on it since things are kinda mellowing out around here. Got the front end over at my buddies shop getting new king-pins pressed in. Replacing bushings and thinking about getting rid of the wishbones and going with the 4 bar set up. 47 & 1/2 axel with a 4 inch drop. I will probably replace the tie rod ends as well. New shocks and a new control arm.

My frame was split where I had welded in my steering box mount about 10 years ago. Just a pup with a stick welder. Not pretty. So a couple of buddies are going to help me cut the frame and weld in kind of an angled box for the support mount on the steering. Then we're boxing the frame all the way to the X. Rebuilding my steering box in the mean time as well.

So for everybody who keeps asking all the time...this is where I stand. Here's a few pics...

HC???? I thought you wanted me to stick my fingers in your ass!!!! Remember??? Something about the Tijuana mud slide??? Remember???

Shaun...thanks for the support! Boom Boom is right! Your hand writing is improving. Maybe next year you can ride the big bus to school. Keep practicing!!

Boom Boom, it's gonna be a close race for P@P. I will be there for sure..just not sure about the truck. Depends on how fast some of the parts come in. Hopefully...but then there's the money issue as well. We'll see. I can't wait.

take her easy,

Glad to hear you're making progress, do it right so it can
last another 10+ years.

Are you going to leave the front fenders off?? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Yes, I'm turning it into a hi-boy truck. Besides, 40 fords have such an ugly front end on them anyway. I have even thought about running 33 ford fenders with a studebaker nose cone. What do you think?

Nice flames!

Your truck would look titts with some polished halibrands or American five spokes.
