QUESTION: I Guess I'm Old....HELP With New "Friends" Thingy...MySpace?? [Archive]

OK, I feel old here. I have seen the new "friends" thing here on the HAMB compared to "friends" on MySpace and that still doesn't help me. I don't go to MySpace, let alone have a Myspace account, so I don't get it.

What benefit is there to having people in your "friends" list? Is there a real benefit or just bragging rights as to how many people are in your stable?

Please help a confused old man. :D

I suppose it's just another way to interact and with people? It could also make it easy to keep track of the threads they make.

Frankly, I think the feature is a bit juvenile... and silly... but it's necessary for a feature I have in mind for the future.

Oh, and my sig photo of the Wolfman at the DJ console fron American Grafitti got lost in the shuffle. Can I get it back or do I need to re-install it? Can't really remember how I did it. I think it's funny how after you arrange said friendship, you then get the option to 'break friendship'. Is that like breaking up or worse a divorce?

No idea What i was doing, Clicked in & there was a list of
people that dont even like me !!

Thought it was some sorta HIT LIST, Then they all disappeard :eek:
Now only 1 shows up... Very Scary !! Hope there not hiding
in wait till class lets out so they can jump me at "THE ROCK"

I think its easier to send someone a PM , rather than looking through the search feature to find them. I do like the feature of adding photos in your profile.

Mike, I think if you agree or accept their friend request it automaticly makes them a friend in your "profile" as well. At least that's what I've found.:D

Sure you are!:D seriously, I found a good use for teh pal list just now. It may save Ryan some serverspace. If you are like most of us we keep WAY too many old PMs. Sometimes I only keep them to save a contact name (or in case of a grand Jury Indictment). With the friend function, you can keep the folks that contact you in that list, delete older PMs and still have thier contact info closa at hand. Just an idea, dont know if it is even logical. My ears are far from pointy. trent
