This morning I loaded up my trailer and grabbed my young'un and headed to Parts Guy's place in the hills. PG had a flatty tucked away that I spied up there a few weeks ago while looking for a fender for my coupe. We ended up making a deal on the flatty. It used to belong to a friend of mine and was rebuilt before he got it. I think it was yanked by some "street rodder", probably replaced by an sbc (we really need an eyes rolling smiley http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif) Anyways, I now have a low mileage flathead to go in the 46. I'll probably clean up my Speed Gems 2 carb adapter and throw an extra carb on there for now until I can get the coin to buy a proper super dual and some heads. Now I'm off to look up my serial # and figure out what this puppy came out of.
Me being an idiot and all I forgot to get any digital pics of my engine, but PG did have this out behind the building.

that merc sure is a little gem even if it is in tough shape. Is that a 59 ford in front of it? Does this guy have a big stash of cars and parts or what?
and how does butt have only 181 posts (not that it matters, but........) ??? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

He has a lot of 60's and 70's ford truck parts, a few older cars(not many) and a lot of miscellanous stuff like trim and window regulators. The best thing is he has a lot of contacts, and gets new stuff in pretty often. Around the merc there is the 59? ford, a 40 dodge, about a 46 ford truck, a 53 or so F1, a 57 chevy panel wagon all need a lot.
