Greetings one and all,

I'm impalachas44, and I'm excited about being a member of a forum comprised of hotrodding gearheads like myself.

My ride is a 1968 Impala SS. It was a 327 4sp car, but the original drivetrain was no longer in the car when I got it. I've added several upgrades, including a Goodwrench 350 (w/ two major revisions) and a Tremec TKO 5sp trans. It's got very large stabilizer bars, front and rear, along with a disc brake upgrade in the front. I've built my own instrument panel, and am planning to add rear disc brakes and a NASCAR-style long truck arm rear suspension. Fuel injection and twin turbos are on my wish list. I enjoy driving the crap out of the car... it's no trailer queen.

I'm looking forward to sharing experiences and information with the rest of you, and making positive contributions to the site. Please feel free to contact me with your questions and comments.

Welcome to the HAMB from Nottingham, Maryland.
I had a similar car like that back in '93. It was a factory 396/360 HP '66 El Camino with 3spd, but didn't have the original drivetrain. It was running a 283 with a 4spd when i got it. I replaced the 283 with a balanced/blueprinted 350 I had built previously for another '66 El Camino.
