just a warning...

everyone keep their eyes open for some bad 3003 h-14 aluminum...ive been working ona track nose from a peice and it keeps cracking...i thought maybe i overheated it anealing it....so i took it to my friends house who is teaching me this stuff (hes 70 and been doing it for ever) anyways he anealed it and it went crazy and didnt acxtually get soft...which i didnt realize, not having much experience....he said a few years back he ran into the same thing trying to press some shapes into a mold...one sheet from his stack just wouldnt work...not sure whats wrong but it didnt aneal at the carbon burn off point...also on my peice some spots crystalized before the carbon burnt off when he was doing it...and it was in shapes and certain areas...not all over..we're thinking its contaminated with something....my local supplier is going to give me a free sheet to make up for it but still i wanted everyone to keep their eyes open..maybe test a small peice anealing and hammering first to make sure you dont have crap and put hours and hours in like i did only to have to be a waste...oh well... ya live ya learn

Zach, I have purchased my 3003 h14 from a local supply house in 4 foot squares. No problems yet. I suggest you give
a piece of it to the supplier who can return it to the manufacterer to be analized. don't give up on it, it is good shit!
