posting a tech question

I get a message saying something like, "I'm not permitted to post a Tech Question". I'm new to both The Board and to the computer. What do I need to do?

depends where you're trying to post. you posted here alright. you can post your question on the main board too. you can't post on a thread once it's been moved to the archives. that's the way it's been set up. only moderators can update.

No, it probably said you weren't permitted to post in this section - or something like that. The Tech archive is locked - if you have a tech question, simply post it on the main board.
