I have a 41' Ford Coupe. It believe its the original flatty, and been rebuilt. If its original, that would make it an 11A flathead.

Can I put a dual pot on this stock motor w/out any sacrifice of power, im hoping to gain a little.

What are your thoughts? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Two pot may give it a little pep, What it really helps on is really giving the desired amount of feul to the back two cylinders. Which helps on any white smoke that may be comming out of the tail-pipe. High-compression heads should closely follow to get that ass-clenching horse-power gain totaling out to be about 75hp http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I love flat-heads, High-compression heads, 3/4 race cam two pot intake and headers and maybe you'll get about 90hp
Nothing sounds cooler though, and looks to boot

The flatty is an 11-A model, it has an "A" on the heads. Its rated at 90HP Flathead Model ID chart (http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_model_IDchart.htm) . I really dont want to have to change the cam, unless its easy enough, but heads and intake are something i would like to do. I just want to ensure im not wasting my cash on these extra parts, especially if they are not going to work.

Are there other stock heads (ie: 59AB heads) I could put on here to help out the compression/motor?

"A" heads are 81A and are among the smallest chamber ones out there. Flowbench types give these a very good rating. I think the only stock higher comp ones out there are the ultra rare "Denver" high altitude special heads, 81 AS prefix. The only pair I've ever seen are going on my 99 motor...
Heads and cam are a fair amount of work and $$, and should be undertaken together.
