i need a pair of canadian manufactured late fifties pontiac sripted small block chevrolet valve covers. i believe these came on chevy powered canadian built cars, but i could be wrong. any info would be appreciated.

Last pair I picked up at a swap meet for my buddy had the "Pontiac" painted on or it was a decal. I don,t see them very often.283,s or 327,s had them.

I recently looked at a BONE STOCK, low mile, orig 61 pontiac Laurentian and it had "chevrolet" script covers. I believe the Pontiac ones where a decal...

The "Pontiac" was in script but appeared to be a decal or painted on.

50's pontiac had script embossed in them i sold a pair couple years back . come accross them every now and then

5-6-7 Pontiacs had them, but they were staggered bolt holes. Anyone got a 58 or 9 StratoChief or Laurentian????

My 62 had the decals...Stupid me stripped them off......Like said the scripted ones were 55-57 with staggered holes. Are you saying the 58-59 also had the script?

I believe so. There is a 58 sitting in an old yard east of here. I will check first chance I get. I am sure the covers were stamped ut until 1959. I know the Canadian Pontiac 348's and 409's had nothing on the valve covers.

too bad a set of staggered chevrolet scripted wont work for ya - just posted them in parts for sale - looks like quite a quest for these judging from orignal thread date - Ill certianly keep an eye out for ya!
