Ok so i'm too thick to work out the math ,but can someone do a degree chart for toe in.For example what would 1,2,3,4,and 5 degrees be?It would be a real help all over as over here they only use degrees.......Marq

What you are looking for will require more info...the distance from the pivot point (radius) is a measure needed to determine the measure in inches (arc) that you need.

using your calculator
enter degrees
enter radius
convert to rectangular
y equals toe http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

or, Radius times the Sine of Degree equals toe http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

and of course conversely,

the toe devided by the radius equals the sine of the degree

therefor with the 28" tire

1/16" toe equals 0.256 degree
1/8" toe equals 0.512 degree
3/16" toe equals 0.767 degree
1/4" toe equals 1.023 degree

the difference between a 26" tire and a 30" is minimal
so you could probably use a rough rule of thumb that

an eight toe is damn near a half degree,

a hair over for the 26" tire
and a hair under for the 30" tire

You could also figure it phsically on a big sheet of paper with a ruler and a protractor--measure dimension of tire, draw line that long on paper, and draw in the known increment of toe or draw line at known angle, measure the unknown with protractor or ruler.

I'm curious, why do you need to know?
What are you figuring out?
Engineering Ackerman angle / toe-out-on-turns maybe?
If so, post the results!
